About
As a broadcast journalist with more than 15 years of experience, Kyle’s reporting assignments have taken him around the country to some of the nation’s biggest, headline-grabbing news stories.
As the lead live reporter at multiple stations/networks, he has covered major news events like the 2012 Presidential Campaign and Election Night, the Boston Marathon Bombings, school shootings at Sandy Hook and Virginia Tech and the 2013 federal government shutdown. He also brought viewers the lighter side of news, reporting on everything from the Super Bowl to the National Rock-Paper-Scissors Championship. Always willing to battle the elements, Kyle has broadcast during historic snowstorms, major floods and the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Through it all, Kyle has developed an unique style of reporting, where he strives to tell people-driven stories that are interesting, accurate and relevant; all the while, not being afraid to include some personality as a part of his on-air presentation.
A graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, Kyle has won multiple Associated Press Awards for Spot News coverage. He has been Emmy- nominated for his coverage of breaking news and the lead reporter on his station’s winning submission for an Edward R. Murrow Award for Journalism Excellence.
